This little book is packed with information on how to find or harness your own Ikigai and how to let it help transform your life. It’s slow and gentle pace doesn’t try to encourage you to change over night rather inspire you to seek out the best version of yourself that you can be. This is where I leave you by Jonathan Trooper

“Poor Judd Foxman returns home early to find his wife in bed with his boss - in the act. He now faces the twin threats of both divorce and unemployment. His misery is compounded further with the sudden death of his father. He is then asked to come and 'sit Shiva' for his newly deceased parent with his angry, screwed-up and somewhat estranged brothers and sisters in his childhood home. It is there he must confront who he really is and - more importantly - who he can become.”

Jonathan trooper writes with so much dark wit that you can sometimes forget that your reading about such a somber subject matter. Judd’s life is a mess and coming home to spend time with his family is exactly what he doesn’t need. We follow his journey back to happiness in the book and see that no matter what obstacle is put before you there is nearly always a way to get by it and Judd shows us there is normally a way to see the funny side of the darkness too. This funny, sad, uplifting and heartwarming book is a must read.
